Fish Species

The waters around Two Rivers support a diverse fishery. Here's what you can target throughout the year.

Walleye

Apr – Oct

The Columbia and Spokane rivers are among the top walleye fisheries in the Pacific Northwest. Spring and early summer produce the best catches.

Rainbow Trout

Year-round

Stocked and wild rainbow trout thrive in the cooler tributaries and along the Spokane River arm. The net pens at Two Rivers Marina release thousands of triploid trout annually.

Smallmouth Bass

May – Sep

Rocky shorelines and points near the confluence hold excellent numbers of smallmouth in the 2–4 lb range.

Kokanee Salmon

Jun – Sep

Lake Roosevelt's kokanee runs draw anglers from across the state. Trolling near the thermocline is the go-to technique.

Largemouth Bass

May – Sep

Sheltered bays and weed beds along the reservoir produce quality largemouth throughout the warm months.

Burbot

Dec – Mar

Two Rivers area is known by the locals as one of the hottest burbot spots on the entire lake.

White Sturgeon

Year-round (catch & release)

The Columbia River is home to massive white sturgeon. Catch-and-release regulations protect these prehistoric giants.
